VISA 12-IX TURISMO, ACTOS DE COMERCIO Y OTROS PDF Imprimir E-Mail

Aplica para:

·          Personas que viajan por turismo y piensan quedarse más de 90 días;

·          Personas que viajan por motivos de negocios, salud, educación, presentaciones artísticas, investigaciones científicas, competencias atléticas, u otros propósitos que no sean el turismo;

·          Personas que desean quedarse a vivir en el Ecuador.

Requisitos:

a.     Carta de petición, firmada por el interesado, dirigida al Cónsul General, solicitando la visa y describiendo las actividades que estará realizando;

b.     Formulario de solicitud, lleno y firmado.  Puede llenarlo aquí en el Consulado;

c.     Pasaporte, válido por al menos seis meses;

d.     Tarjeta de residente permanente o visa de los Estados Unidos válida (si usted no es ciudadano de los Estados Unidos);

e.     Dos fotografías recientes, tamaño pasaporte, a color, con fondo blanco;

f.     Copia del ticket aéreo de ida y vuelta al Ecuador;

g.     Carta de una institución bancaria o último estado de cuenta, que indique que el solicitante tiene depositado un mínimo de 2,000 dólares para su subsistencia personal, a los que podrá acceder en el Ecuador;

h.      Si el solicitante es menor de edad, o si depende económicamente de sus padres o tutores, carta notariada de los padres o tutores, indicando que ellos serán el sustento económico del estudiante mientras esté en el Ecuador, y carta de una institución bancaria o último estado de cuenta de los padres, con un mínimo de 2,000 dólares para la subsistencia del solicitante, a los que podrá acceder en el Ecuador.

i.      Si el solicitante es menor de edad, debe presentarse el menor con sus padres o al menos uno de sus padres, con autorización del padre ausente por escrito y firmada ante Notario; o si el menor se presenta con otra persona adulta, ésta deberá presentar autorización de ambos padres por escrito y firmada ante Notario.

Válida por:  Mínimo 91 días, máximo 180 días.  No renovable.  Sólo puede ser otorgada una vez en cada año no calendario, contados a partir de la fecha de registro en la Dirección General de Extranjería.  Caso contrario, deberá optar por otra categoría migratoria, a excepción de la 12-X.

Los ciudadanos de Colombia y Paraguay, de acuerdo con los convenios en vigor, pagarán únicamente el valor de la aplicación, es decir $30.00.

NOTA: 

·          Los extranjeros que ingresan al país como turistas podrán solicitar ante la Dirección de Extranjería del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Movilidad Humana, la ampliación de su permanencia en el país, previa autorización y cumplimiento de los requisitos establecidos, por el tiempo que le faltare para completar los 180 días.

VISA 12-VI WORK

Applies for:

·          High level professionals, specialized workers, Presidents or Managers, Representatives, etc., who are being hired by companies, institutions or persons established in Ecuador, to work temporarily within their area of expertise, or to undergo special training.

Documents Required:

a.     Letter from the hiring company requesting the visa, on letterhead paper, signed by the company’s legal representative and addressed to the Consul General, describing the activities to be performed;

b.     Visa application form, filled out and signed.  You may fill it out at the Consulate;

c.     Passport, valid for at least six months;

d.     Permanent resident card or valid US visa (if not a US citizen);

e.     Two recent photographs, passport size, in color, white background;

f.      Police certificate indicating that the applicant has no criminal record;

g.     Applicant’s resume;

h.     Notarized copy of the deed of constitution of the hiring company, duly registered at the Business Registration Office ("Registro Mercantil");

i.      Current R.U.C. certification ("Registro Único de Contribuyente") of the hiring company;

j.      Current and  valid certificate  issued by the Superintendent of Companies (“Superintendencia de Compañías”), that the paid in capital is US $12,500,  (Official Record No.504, August 2, 2011);

k.     Updated certification stating that the hiring company does not have any pending obligations with the Social Security Institute (“IESS”);

l.      Certificate from the local Fire Department;

m.    Certificate of city permit (“Patente Municipal”);

n.     Notarized copy of the appointment of the Legal representative of the hiring company;

ü  When it is a work contract:  Authorization to work issued by the Ministry of Labor (“Ministerio de Relaciones Laborales”), and work contract registered at the Department of Labor ("Dirección de Trabajo" in Ecuador);

ü  When it is a President, Manager or Universal agent being appointed:  Appointment duly registered at the Business Registration Office ("Registro Mercantil");

ü  When it is a civil contract for professional services:  contract properly registered with a civil judge or a notary public; university or technical degree, translated into Spanish, notarized and Apostilled by the proper authority (in the US, the Office of the Secretary of State) or legalized by an Ecuadorian Consulate, in the country of origin; certificate that no Authorization to work is needed, issued by the Ministry of Labor (“Ministerio de Relaciones Laborales”);

ü  If being transferred to Ecuador by a foreign company:  original letter of transference from the hiring company’s headquarters, translated into Spanish, notarized and Apostilled by the proper authority (in the US, the Office of the Secretary of State) or legalized by an Ecuadorian Consulate, in the country of origin.

You may apply for your 12-VI Visa in Ecuador.  For this, you must have a valid 12-IX Visa, which must have been registered within 30 days of your arrival, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility (“Dirección de Extranjeria”).  Valid for:  Up to two years.  Renewable.

VISA 12-X TRANSIENT

Applies for:

·          Temporary visitors with legal purposes such as tourism, sports, health, studies, science or arts.

Documents Required:

a.     Letter requesting the visa, signed by the applicant and addressed to the Consul General, describing the activities to be performed.

b.     Visa application form, filled out and signed.  You may fill it out at the Consulate;

c.     Passport, valid for at least six months;

d.     Permanent resident card or valid US visa (if not a US citizen);

e.     Two recent photographs, passport size, in color, white background;

f.      Copy of round trip ticket to Ecuador;

g.     Latest bank statement or letter from a financial institution, which shows that the applicant is in good financial standing, in order to able to support themselves while in Ecuador;

h.     If applicant is underage, or if supported by parents or guardians, notarized letter from the parents or guardians, stating that they will support the volunteer while in Ecuador, plus latest bank statement or letter from a financial institution, which shows that the parents or guardians are in good financial standing.

i.      If applicant is underage, the child must appear with at least one of the parents with written authorization from the absent parent, signed in front of a Notary; or if the child appears with another adult, this person must present written authorization from both parents, signed in front of a Notary.

Valid for:  Maximum 90 days in every year, as of the date of entering Ecuador.  Non-renewable.

Citizens of Colombia and Paraguay, according to the existing agreement, will only pay the value of the application, which is $30.00.

NOTES: 

In case the foreigner obtained a visa for a period of time under 90 days, they may request at the Department of Migration and Alien Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility, a new visa for the time needed to complete 90 days, having fulfilled the established requirements.

Even though no foreigner needs a visa to enter Ecuador for less than 90 days for the purpose of tourism (except for the special regimen applicable to Chinese citizens), they may apply for the 12-X visa, having fulfilled the requirements established in the law.

VISA 12-V STUDENTS

Applies for:

·          Students (at all levels).  The study program must be longer than six months.

Documents Required:

a.     Letter requesting the visa, signed by the applicant (or their parents or guardians, when they’re minors), addressed to the Consul General.

b.     Visa application form, filled out and signed.  You may fill it out at the Consulate;

c.     Passport, valid for at least six months;

d.     Permanent resident card or valid US visa (if not a US citizen);

e.     Two recent photographs, passport size, in color, white background;

f.      Police certificate indicating that the applicant has no criminal record (not necessary if applicant is a child 12 years of age or less);

g.     School registration or certificate of admission to the Ecuadorian school or institution for a study period of at least six months;

h.     Notarized copy of the official documents which certify the legal existence of the institution in Ecuador;

i.      Written pledge from the sponsoring institution, stating that it will cover the applicant’s living expenses such as food and lodging, as well as assume responsibility for expenses incurred by the foreigner as a result of deportation or early termination of school program;

or

Latest bank statement or letter from a financial institution, which shows that the applicant has a balance of at least one thousand dollars ($ 2,000) that they’ll be able to access while in Ecuador;

j.      If applicant is underage, or if supported by parents or guardians, notarized letter from the parents or guardians, stating that they will support the student while in Ecuador, plus latest bank statement or letter from a financial institution, which shows that the parents or guardians have a balance of at least one thousand dollars ($ 2,000) that the applicant will be able to access while in Ecuador.

k.     If applicant is underage, the child must appear with at least one of the parents with written authorization from the absent parent, signed in front of a Notary; or if the child appears with another adult, this person must have written authorization from both parents, signed in front of a Notary.

Valid for:  Minimum six months, maximum one year.  Renewable.  It may be renewed in Ecuador at the Department of Alien Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility(“Dirección  de Extranjería”).

CULTURAL EXCHANGE VISA PDF Imprimir E-Mail

VISA 12-VIII CULTURAL EXCHANGE

Applies for:

·          Professionals, teachers and students involved in Cultural Exchange Programs. 

To be eligible for a 12-VIII visa, the school or institution must have signed an agreement with an Ecuadorian institution or with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador.  Otherwise, you ought to apply for a 12-V visa.

Documents Required:

a.     Letter requesting the visa, signed by legal representative of the sponsoring cultural entity, addressed to the Consul General, describing the activities to be performed by the applicant;

b.     Visa application form, filled out and signed.  You may fill it out at the Consulate;

c.     Passport, valid for at least six months;

d.     Permanent resident card or valid US visa (if not a US citizen);

e.     Two recent photographs, passport size, in color, white background;

f.      Police certificate indicating that the applicant has no criminal record;

g.     Notarized copy of the official documents through which the Government of Ecuador authorizes the institution to operate in the country;

h.     Notarized copy of the statutes of the institution;

i.      Notarized copy of the appointment of the legal representative of the institution, duly registered;

j.      Notarized copy of the Cultural Exchange Agreement;

k.     Description of the institution’s project(s) and detailed description of the activities that the applicant will carry out in Ecuador;

l.      Letter where applicant states that they will render services at no charge (for teachers only);

m.    Written pledge from the sponsoring institution, stating that it will cover the applicant’s living expenses such as food and lodging, as well as assume responsibility for expenses incurred in by the foreigner as a result of deportation or early termination of volunteer program or mission;

or

Latest bank statement or letter from a financial institution, which shows that the applicant has a balance of at least one thousand dollars ($ 2,000) that they’ll be able to access while in Ecuador;

n.     If applicant is underage, or if supported by parents or guardians, notarized letter from the parents or guardians, stating that they will support the volunteer while in Ecuador, plus latest bank statement or letter from a financial institution, which shows that the parents or guardians have a balance of at least two thousand dollars ($ 2,000) that the applicant will be able to access while in Ecuador.

o.     If applicant is underage, the child must appear with at least one of the parents with written authorization from the absent parent, signed in front of a Notary; or if the child appears with another adult, this person must present written authorization from both parents, signed in front of a Notary.

Valid for:  Maximum one year.  Renewable.

VISA 12-VII VOLUNTEERS, RELIGIOUS PERSONS, MISSIONARIES

Applies for:

·          Volunteers and religious missionaries who belong to organizations or orders that are recognized in their country of origin and in Ecuador, to work in charities, teaching or ministry.

Documents Required:

a.     Letter requesting the visa, signed by legal representative of the sponsoring entity, or by the Ecuadorian Episcopal Conference if a member of a catholic order, and addressed to the Consul General;

b.     Visa application form, filled out and signed.  You may fill it out at the Consulate;

c.     Passport, valid for at least six months;

d.     Permanent resident card or valid US visa (if not a US citizen);

e.     Two recent photographs, passport size, in color, white background;

f.      Police certificate indicating that the applicant has no criminal record;

g.     Applicant’s resume and personal project;

h.     Letter in which applicant states that they will render services at no charge;

i.      Notarized copy of the official documents through which the Government of Ecuador authorizes the institution to operate in the country;

j.      Notarized copy of the appointment of the legal representative of the institution, duly registered;

k.     Notarized copy of the statutes of the institution;

l.      Certificate from the Registry of Civil Society Organizations of Ecuador (“Sistema de Registro Único de Organizaciones de la Sociedad Civil”- SRUOSC);

m.    Justification of the need to use the applicant’s services;

n.     Chronological description of the activities to be performed by the applicant in Ecuador;

o.     Written pledge from the sponsoring institution, stating that it will cover the applicant’s living expenses such as food and lodging, as well as assume responsibility for expenses incurred by the foreigner as a result of deportation or early termination of volunteer program or mission;

or

Latest bank statement or letter from a financial institution, which shows that the applicant has a balance of at least one thousand dollars ($ 2,000) that they’ll be able to access while in Ecuador;

p.     If applicant is underage, or if supported by parents or guardians, notarized letter from the parents or guardians, stating that they will support the volunteer while in Ecuador, plus latest bank statement or letter from a financial institution, which shows that the parents or guardians have a balance of at least two thousand dollars ($ 2,000) that the applicant will be able to access while in Ecuador.

q.     If applicant is underage, the child must appear with at least one of the parents with written authorization from the absent parent, signed in front of a Notary; or if the child appears with another adult, this person must have written authorization from both parents, signed in front of a Notary.
